Business Description: Equitable, established in 1989, is currently providing management and leasing services, tenant representation, investment analysis and acquiring properties for investors. Our clients include publicly held corporations, international corporations, general and limited partnerships and individual investors. We have concentrated our efforts in the commercial sector and have superior market knowledge and the ability to produce in a competitive market place.
Donald L. Goodman, the principal of Equitable has been in the commercial real estate business in Atlanta since 1984. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida and worked in the flutter and vibration design of military aircraft prior to moving to Georgia. This technical experience provides a tremendous benefit in all aspects of maintenance and construction projects on our properties.
At Equitable Management we use a "hands on" approach for handling all aspects of our business. This includes direct supervision of contractors, providing building and construction permits, space planning and construction drawings, investment analysis and design and analyzation of building systems. With this approach, we are able to provide our clients superior results and economical services.
We utilize a computerized system to manage all aspects of our business and have the capability to produce customized programs to handle any special needs. We have developed data base, spreadsheet and interpreted language programs. These include rent rolls, tenant files, rent invoices, investment analysis, budgets, construction and renovation projections and financial statements. Our ability to create customized software allows us to provide our clients with a broad range of reporting capabilities including GAP accounting.
Equitable currently manages and leases approximately 1,225,000 square feet with approximately 75% comprising of shopping centers and 25% comprising office building properties. We have expertise in management, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions and renovations. Our "hands on" approach and computer programming skills combined with our real estate expertise makes us unique compared to similar firms. We are able to provide our clients with economical services while maintaining efficiency and quality.
